My story - My art - My Mission

I'm Jan Byers, proud creator and owner of this webpage. I'm married, have 3 wonderful grown daughters.

I'm so pleased to release some of my art for sale, which I have created with much love over the past 3-4 years.

I launched this store on 1 January 2022 to allow you, the customers from around the world, to purchase original art to display and be proud of in your home.

I love painting faces and I have spent many hours studying features and face proportion - I also love to add patterns and elements to my art. I find the whole process a joy and pleasure.

*My passion is my daily creative practice. It is my 'labour of love'.

"The other nine sisters from Australia, birthed by artist Jan Byers, arrived in good order and have been framed. [Thank you Stuart Judson Logan.] Soon, all 13(14, one has two in their portrait) framed paintings will be placed in a space especially for them. I have gathered them together, and tomorrow they will tell me their decision. I have considered writing poems about each one, but my imagination is in overdrive and perhaps a story will be an outcome for them. I'm not ruling out poems. I just have this lovely family of sisters who have moved to the United States of America, specifically Columbus, Georgia. I overheard them whispering this afternoon, and they have nicknamed me, "Tog" for The Old Girl. "
